Project Coordinator-Banking
Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite / Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00 / hr W2 | Duration: 6 Months + (Potential for Extension)
Employment Type: Strictly Direct W2 Only (No Corp-to-Corp / C2C, third-party agencies, or W2 referrals)
About the Role
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Project Coordinator to join a premier global banking and financial services organization in Charlotte, NC. This role is ideal for a strong project professional who excels at keeping initiatives moving, maintaining documentation, tracking deliverables, and facilitating cross-functional communication across business and operational teams. No prior finance, banking, or Disaster Recovery experience is required (though experience in these areas is a plus) — we are primarily looking for a sharp coordinator with top-notch organizational skills, strong follow-through, and excellent stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
- Support project leads with daily coordination tasks, ensuring project timelines, task lists, and action items are actively tracked and updated.
- Maintain accurate project records, create meeting agendas, document detailed meeting minutes, and compile regular status reports for departmental leadership.
- Schedule cross-functional meetings, manage calendar invites, prepare presentation decks, and ensure action items are clearly assigned and followed up on.
- Proactively follow up with internal team members and key stakeholders on pending tasks to ensure deadlines and project milestones are met.
- Assist with general departmental administrative and operational workflows to ensure seamless day-to-day execution.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience as a Project Coordinator, Administrative Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, or similar project-support role.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook). Familiarity with enterprise project tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, SharePoint) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally across all levels of the organization.
- High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree or relevant coursework in Business Administration, Communications, or related fields is a plus.
Domain Exposure (Preferred, Not Required): Prior exposure to banking, financial services, or Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity environments is preferred, but not mandatory.
