Project Coordinator

About the role

XS Telecom’s Skilled Low‑Voltage Team designs, installs, and supports technology solutions ranging from structured cabling and wireless networks to data centers, audio‑visual systems, security, and sound masking. As a Project Coordinator you will support project analysis, documentation, budgeting, and coordination while working with certified engineers, IT consultants, and technicians on high‑profile projects for commercial, industrial, and government clients.

Responsibilities

• Support pre‑job analysis, project estimates, Statement of Work (SOW), and budgets.
• Set up document control system, internal database, and sequencing work efficiency, determining tools and equipment for project needs.
• Assist the project team with database tracking for assigned projects and manage project document control.
• Assist with licensing and permit requirements for projects.
• Assist Project Managers with monthly financial project projections.
• Report labor hours, compensation rates, material budgets, and other project expenses.
• Manage change orders and generate/distribute reports as required.
• Participate in kickoff meetings with the project team, including on‑site visits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience required.
• Project controls experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
• Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 project management software is helpful.
• Experience reading blueprints/schematics and strong math skills is helpful.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds; some lifting may be required from knee to shoulder height or other levels.
• Ability to carry and transport up to 60 pounds for short distances (up to 20 feet).
• Periods of standing and moving, including stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Work may occur in varied environments that can be cold, hot, noisy, or wet, and may include exposure to odors or fumes.
