About the role
This highly organized and detail-oriented individual supports the Taft Engineering team by providing sales support, generating purchase orders, communicating with vendors and customers, and managing administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Generate Purchase Orders for Engineering projects.
- Communicate and coordinate with external vendors for necessary project forms including vendors set up, W9 form, COI, etc.
- Communicate and coordinate with end users for necessary project forms including customer setup forms, W9 forms, certificate of insurance forms, etc.
- Enter required information in Taft software for customers, vendors, contractors, etc.
- Cover voicemail and email for sales staff while members are on vacation or unable to access their mailbox.
- Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees.
- Work closely with the internal team members and external sales and support teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Receive, generate and record project invoices and forward to accounting.
- Create and maintain CRM records for projects.
- Aid Engineering project managers with administrative support.
- Assist project managers with proposal development for Taft Engineering projects.
- Coordinate submittals with customers and contractors.
- Track and file approvals in appropriate job folders.
- Monitor phone system and answer customer calls.
- Travel in support of sales for training, meetings and customer site visits.
Requirements
- College degree preferred but not required.
- 1-5+ years of project coordinator experience.
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft office programs.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $23.20 - $26.10 hourly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
Schedule
Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager. You will be required to work in the office at the Taft Engineering location (Monday – Friday).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
- Ability to move about the office to organize, transport, or retrieve files, packages, or other office-related materials.
