Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to manage material handling projects using various technologies such as robotics, AS/RS, AGV’s, high speed sortation, vertical lifts, light directed picking, pick modules, and custom solutions.
- Engage in the project life cycle from initiation to closeout, including project kickoff meetings, execution, monitoring, controlling, and final closeout activities.
- Manage procurement processes, including creating and maintaining a project management checkbook, negotiating vendor quotes, and confirming delivery dates.
- Create and consolidate project bills of materials for inventory management.
- Manage financial aspects of projects, including creating and maintaining a project management checkbook, notifying the Business Specialist for milestone payments, and preparing financial reports.
- Support the project manager in project-level forecasting, estimating costs, and scheduling.
- Create and draft change orders based on vendor quotes or costing, and collaborate with the project manager to secure customer approval.
- Organize and lead project team meetings, document meeting minutes, and track progress through action items and punch lists.
- Update project schedules and assist in creating onsite resource schedules.
- Handle administrative tasks such as per diem and credit card expense reports, maintain file structures in Microsoft One Drive, and assist in creating lessons learned.
- Participate in travel requirements, including participating in onsite startup and close-out opportunities and visiting job sites as part of vendor management responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, with experience and/or education in Project Management a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office software suite, particularly MS Excel and MS Project.
- Experience with concepts of project ROI, Net Present Value, Cost to Complete, Cost at Completion, etc.
- AutoCAD experience is preferred.
- A background in Material Handling, Robotics, Manufacturing, or Packaging is beneficial.
- Energetic, ambitious, and hardworking personality with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong sense of customer service and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Eligibility to work in the USA long-term without sponsorship.
