About the role

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Project Coordinator position. The Project Coordinator coordinates the daily operations of multiple clinical research studies within the CADB Medicine Research Program. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the incumbent oversees study implementation from start-up through closeout, ensuring compliance with institutional, federal, sponsor, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements. The Project Coordinator serves as the primary operational lead for assigned protocols and works collaboratively with investigators, physicians, psychologists, research assistants, regulatory personnel, sponsors, and participating families to ensure high-quality execution of clinical research focused on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related neurodevelopmental conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of multiple clinical research studies, ensuring timely execution of study activities from start-up through close-out.
  • Recruit, screen, schedule, and retain study participants while serving as the primary point of contact for participants and families.
  • Prepare and maintain IRB submissions, regulatory documentation, and study records in compliance with institutional policies, FDA regulations, HIPAA, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
  • Coordinate study visits, data collection, sponsor monitoring visits, and communication with investigators, sponsors, and collaborating institutions.
  • Maintain study databases and research documentation, ensuring data quality, protocol compliance, and timely resolution of data queries.
  • Assist with study budgets, invoices, purchasing, and other administrative activities to support research operations.
  • Train and provide operational guidance to research staff and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in psychology, neuroscience, biology, public health, health sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience coordinating or supporting human subjects clinical research.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children, adolescents, and/or young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), or other neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and regulatory documentation.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
