The Project Coordinator serves as the primary communication hub for the Clinton facility, driving alignment across molding, tooling, engineering, scheduling, and quality. Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the primary communication hub for the Clinton facility
- Drive alignment across molding, tooling, design/engineering, scheduling, quality, materials, purchasing, and shipping
- Protect on-time delivery by proactively identifying and escalating project risks
- Ensure all departments are aligned on production priorities and schedule changes
- Maintain the accuracy of critical job documentation and system workflows
- Own daily production status reporting by attending production meetings and delivering accurate, actionable updates on job status and risks
- Review, validate, and release work orders for accuracy and completeness, ensuring alignment with workflows and documentation standards
- Maintain accurate job travelers, production folders, and traceability documentation
- Carefully coordinate material readiness with purchasing and materials teams, ensuring timely procurement of resins, colorants, additives, and inserts
- Actively monitor project and production status, identifying and escalating risks such as material shortages, tooling delays, capacity constraints, and scheduling conflicts
- Support operational continuity by providing backup coverage across scheduling, materials, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and purchasing during peak demand or plant disruptions
- Develop accurate rerun part quotes, utilizing current material costs, cycle times, and machine rates
- Observe all safety standards, wear required personal protective equipment, and adhere to the Company’s Code of Conduct
About the role
This role reports to the Logistics & Procurement Manager and is located in Clinton Township, MI.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education desired
- Experience in injection molding, plastics manufacturing, or similar production environment preferred
- Strong understanding of ERP/MES systems and production workflows
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with excellent planning and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent customer support service, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products; experience with CAD a plus
- Prioritize excellent attendance, including flexibility to support extended or quarter-driven hours based on business needs
- Able to work in both office and light manufacturing environments, including sitting at a workstation, reaching, bending, and occasionally lifting light to moderate-weight items
