This position requires the successful candidate to work on a W2 directly with FDM. We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (e.g. H1-B) for this position. FDM is seeking a Project Coordinator located in St. Petersburg/Tampa to support a project in the Financial Services sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially for 6 months, but may be extended. This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office 3 days per week. About You Position SummaryThe Risk Management department is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the planning, execution, and reporting of strategic initiatives across the organization. This individual will coordinate project activities, maintain project documentation, track milestones, risks, and action items, and prepare management reporting and presentations. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of project coordination, PMO, or project management experience and familiarity with AI-enabled tools that improve reporting, documentation, and workflow efficiency.Key Responsibilities: Project Coordination & ExecutionSupport the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple projects and initiatives.Maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and action item trackers.Coordinate meetings, follow up on deliverables, and help ensure projects remain on schedule.Assist project leads in identifying and resolving project risks, issues, and dependencies. Governance & ReportingPrepare project status reports, dashboards, and executive-ready presentation materials.Maintain project documentation, including meeting notes, decisions, action items, and project artifacts.Track project milestones and provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.Support governance meetings and ensure appropriate follow-up on key decisions and actions. Stakeholder CoordinationPartner with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather updates and monitor project progress.Facilitate communication across project teams to ensure alignment and transparency.Escalate project concerns or delays to project leads as appropriate. Process Improvement & AutomationIdentify opportunities to improve project administration, reporting, and team processes.Utilize AI-enabled tools to streamline recurring tasks, enhance reporting, and improve productivity.Support adoption of technology solutions that improve project and team effectiveness. Required Qualifications: EducationBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field. Experience2-5 years of experience in project coordination, project management, PMO support, business operations, or a related role.Experience supporting multiple projects and working with cross-functional teams.Experience preparing status reports, meeting materials, and project documentation. SkillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies to support reporting, documentation, and workflow automation. Preferred QualificationsExperience in Financial Services, Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, or a regulated industry.Familiarity with project governance, reporting, and PMO practices.Experience creating executive-level presentations and meeting materials.Exposure to process improvement, workflow automation, or change management initiatives.
