Midnight Mansion’s mission is to bring more delight into the world. We design, engineer, fabricate, and install immersive, in-person experiences - building anything from special exhibits to interactive pieces that blend creative technology, mechanical systems, lighting and sound, and special effects. From early prototypes to final install, we manage the full build and bring ambitious ideas into the real world. The Role This position blends project management, production coordination, and operational support. You’ll work closely with company leadership and department heads to oversee both internal projects and external client work. Responsibilities Will Include Coordinating timelines, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple projectsHelping translate creative visions into action plans with tasks and milestonesFacilitating sprint planning, check-ins, and retrospectives when appropriateAssisting with recruiting, onboarding, and general hiring coordinationHelping resolve team blockers and support cross-functional communicationFostering a culture of follow-through and accountability (with kindness!)Documenting decisions, task assignments, and meeting outcomesTracking progress across design, fabrication, software, and installFlagging misalignments early and help course-correct before they snowball Who We’re Looking For You are organized, empathetic, and able to adapt to a fast-moving, creative environmentYou are confident giving directions and following up, doing so with warmth and respectYou’re not afraid of ambiguity, bringing structure where needed, but aren’t overly rigidYou are excited by the intersection of technology, story, and experienceYou are curious and resourceful, always asking “What’s the next right step?”You understand the basic needs and workflows of software, electronics, fabrication, and installation, even if you aren’t carrying out that work yourself Qualifications - Must Haves Ability to commute to our studio in Needham, MA and occasionally Somerville, MAStrong communication skills (written and verbal)2+ years in project coordination, technical production, or similar roleExperience with managing or coordinating interdisciplinary teamsExperience managing project budgetsPassion for immersive or location-based entertainmentApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; we are unable to sponsor applicants for work visas at this timeA valid U.S. driver's licenseEnthusiasm for location-based entertainment :) Nice to Haves Exposure to interactive technologies like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, lighting/audio systems, or show controlExperience in themed entertainment, museum installation, live events, or similar creative industriesComfort with Google Drive, Jira, and/or other project management toolsHands-on experience in any technical/creative field (e.g., prototyping, CAD, scripting, wiring, etc.)You enjoy contributing to creative processes. While your primary role is coordination, you're not afraid to offer ideas and creativity from the team.
