Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

About the role

Join our dynamic team as a Project Coordinator, where you’ll play a vital role in enabling our engineers and programs to succeed. As a highly organized and tech-savvy professional, you’ll provide a wide variety of administrative, documentation, and process support to multiple engineering teams, ensuring seamless project execution. Assignments typically include non-technical documentation support, general inquiry and problem solving, application/tool support, and coordination of program tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and format engineering documentation.
  • Interface with technicians, engineers and engineering managers to create/edit documentation.
  • Verify change requests are in the proper state and implemented into documentation.
  • Provide tools expertise and support to Engineering: MS Office Apps, requirements capture databases, change management and tracking tools.
  • Generate reports as required and data analytics.
  • Support preparation of presentations.
  • Assist in the collection of metrics and prepare presentation materials for analysis.
  • Assist the Project Engineers with various project management tasks as required.
  • Assist in tracking action items, risk management tools, and tasks in the change management tools.
  • Support the Bid & Proposal process, assisting in bid narratives reviews.
  • Administer the engineering change management process, including facilitating stakeholder reviews.
  • Assist in managing classified laboratory needs, including secure data transfers.
  • Act as primary focal and liaison for program support, across engineering and other departments.
  • Network with both internal and external personnel at multiple levels in own area of expertise.
  • Generally work on moderately difficult assignments which are given in terms of objectives to be accomplished and priorities to be followed. Requires judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.

Potential Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Engineers in tracking and/or maintenance of program/project schedules, milestone performance, and financial metrics.
  • Assist the Project Engineers in managing daily tasking via JIRA or other tools.
  • Coordinate the interaction of project/program team and support functions to communicate schedule and status.
  • Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Often act as a facilitator and team leader.
  • Represent organization as a prime contact on projects, coordinating activities of support personnel and communicating effectively.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years work experience.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a DoW Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with customer service or support.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $72,019 - $115,230. Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
