Project Coordinator
About the role
A Project Coordinator supports aviation capital improvement projects at a major commercial airport, working closely with Airport Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams. This role operates within a highly regulated, operationally sensitive setting, where maintaining continuity of airport operations while advancing construction delivery is critical.
Responsibilities
- Coverage of field construction activities to ensure compliance with design documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Support Project Managers in managing scope, schedule, and budget across multiple active aviation projects
- Serve as liaison between contractors, consultants, and airport stakeholders (operations, maintenance, security, and other departments)
- Attend and contribute to Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings, progress meetings, and construction coordination sessions
- Review contractor mobilization plans and provide recommendations prior to Notice to Proceed
- Maintain and track project schedules, including design reviews, procurement milestones, and construction progress
- Support constructability reviews and cost evaluations during pre-construction and active construction phases
- Review contractor QA/QC plans, logistics plans, and safety programs for compliance with project and airport standards
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to contract requirements, including quality and safety expectations
- Aid in change management processes, including scope development and cost review support
- Coordinate construction inspections, punch walks, and issue resolution activities
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, weekly work plans, and progress tracking logs
- Assist with monthly pay application reviews and project reporting requirements
- Collaborate with environmental and safety teams to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, plus 2 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience
- Experience supporting aviation or airport infrastructure projects, including airfield or terminal construction
- Familiarity with construction management platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and SharePoint
- Experience supporting construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in regulated environments
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations, airport safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements
- Proficiency with project scheduling tools and standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, operational environment
- Experience with construction documentation, submittals, RFIs, and QA/QC processes
- Exposure to GMP project delivery methods and cost tracking practices
- Strong understanding of construction safety programs and field coordination practices
Qualifications

Pay
The offered rate of compensation is $60,000 to $101,000 per year.
