About the role
The Project Controls Specialist will oversee and optimize the financial and schedule performance of large-scale projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Leverage expertise in cost control, forecasting, and project analysis to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Support procurement, PR/PO processes, contract reviews, and invoice validation.
- Analyze variances, risks, and financial impacts to provide clear presentations of findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support bid leveling and contract compliance checks.
Responsibilities
The Project Controls Specialist will:
- Support procurement, PR/PO processes, contract reviews, and invoice validation.
- Provide clear presentations of findings based on cost control, forecasting, and project analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support bid leveling and contract compliance checks.
Requirements
- 6-10+ years of experience in cost control or project controls roles.
- Deep knowledge of cost reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and project accounting.
- Proficiency with cost management systems, financial tools, and Excel.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing variances, risks, and financial impacts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly.
- Professional certification (RICS, AACE, or equivalent) preferred or actively pursuing.
- Exposure to real estate, construction, engineering, or capital project environments.
- Experience with analytics, dashboards, or automation tools for project financials.
- Familiarity with schedule management and impact analysis.
- Ability to support bid leveling and contract compliance checks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
