Project Controls Professional Intermediate Level – East Central Region U.S.
About the role
Jacobs is seeking an Intermediate Level Project Controls Professional to support the East Central region within the U.S. This role offers the opportunity to work a Hybrid model, coming in two days a week at an assigned Jacobs office.
Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare data for evaluation
- Maintain, track, analyze, forecast, and report on project budgets, estimates to complete, commitments, expenditures, project progress and productivity, work plans and schedules, projects cost at completion, WBS cost coding, subcontracts, accruals, and change management
- Review expenditure details, identify incorrect charges, and commence the charge correction process
- Aid in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations
- Support project pricing
- Print and distribute technical and administrative reports, assemble monthly report packages
- Perform risk analysis on cost and schedule and recommend usage of contingency
- Support Project Managers with monthly Project Reviews (PRs)
- Support Project Managers with quarterly forecasts on projects
- Provide support to Project Controls staff members as needed
- Affirm change management systems and processes are implemented and followed
- Identify potential project problems early, report issues and problems to operations leadership, and work with project teams to address and implement recovery plans
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cost Management, Engineering, Project Management, Accounting, or Finance
- Three to five years of experience in Project Controls or Project Accountant related functions
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management
- Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Qualifications

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
