About the role

As an Intermediate Level Project Controls Professional, you'll support the East Central region within the U.S. as a key member of our team. This role operates on a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence two days a week at the nearest Jacobs office.
Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
- Monitor, track, analyze, forecast, and report on project budgets, estimates to complete, commitments, expenditures, project progress and productivity, work plans and schedules, project cost at completion, WBS cost coding, subcontracts, accruals, and change management.
- Review expenditure details, identify incorrect charges, and initiate the charge correction process.
- Assist in coordinating projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.
- Provide support for project pricing.
- Print and distribute technical and administrative reports; assemble monthly report packages.
- Perform risk analysis on cost and schedule and recommend usage of contingency.
- Support Project Managers with monthly Project Reviews (PRs) and quarterly forecasts on projects.
- Provide support to Project Controls staff members as needed.
- Assure change management systems and processes are implemented and followed.
- Identify potential project problems early, report issues to operations leadership, and work with project teams to address and implement recovery plans.
Requirements
- BS or BA degree, with preference given to degrees in Cost Management, Engineering, Project Management, Accounting, or Finance.
- Three to five years’ experience in Project Controls or Project Accountant-related functions.
- Strong knowledge of Excel.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.
- Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $100,000.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
