Responsibilities
- Collaborate with operations management to build relationships and establish effective controls
- Perform analysis of auto reporting to pinpoint areas of improvement and make data-driven recommendations
- Articulate and summarize information and results to management
- Accountable for budgeted, actual and forecasted take-off quantities, manhours and dollars
- Accountable for the preparation and completion of internal audits
- Provide leadership and coaching to the project controls team
- Represent Kiewit Project Controls in internal and external meetings – trainings, presentations to engineering partners, overviews to potential clients, etc.
- Cordination with Estimating and Business Management to support transition from proposal to execution
- Show understanding of P6 and have the ability to become a super-user of Kiewit’s project controls software (InEight)
- Identify and understand key components in project contracts that impact project controls processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the business consulting, engineering, or construction industry
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive
- Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities and experience speaking in public, to groups, or via electronic media
- Ability to think strategically while identifying problems and developing creative solutions
