Responsibilities
- Responsible for project setup, budget management, risk management and financial reporting.
- Supports cost estimates for projects in the industrial arena.
- Mentors and/or trains other project team members.
- Works within various contracting methods such as lump sum, GMP, cost plus construction management and fee-based construction.
- Understands legal aspects and implications of contractual language.
- Develops and maintains relationships with subcontractors and third party auditors.
- Prepares various reports to manage the project(s), such as monthly financial reports, progress analysis/schedules, billings, and status reports.
- Organizes and maintains job files to ensure continuity of workflow.
- Submits verbal and written reports on project status to management.
- May be responsible for estimating efforts relative to the project(s) and proposal preparation efforts.
- Communicates effectively with direct consultants and subcontractors on the project(s).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in accounting, mathematics, construction management, finance or related degree.
- Five to seven years of experience in construction management, accounting or project controls.
- CMIC, Textura, or similar constriction financial system experience is a plus.
- Experience leading Project Controls efforts for projects relevant to large industrial construction is preferred.
- Overtime and travel will be required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands and arms, reaching, and talking or hearing.
- Sometimes climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 100 lbs.
- Frequent exposure to noise levels on the job site that are normally moderate to loud.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions.
- May be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and/or heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives and vibrations.
