What You’ll Do
- Lead the development and execution of project control systems for major capital and R&D projects.
- Manage forecasting, scheduling, variance analysis, cost alignment, and performance reporting.
- Develop and maintain earned value management (EVMS), risk models, and change control processes.
- Build and analyze schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and related tools.
- Translate complex project data into actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
- Conduct cost analysis, unit cost development, burn rate tracking, and trend reporting.
- Collaborate across engineering, finance, and operations to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Identify process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
- Mentor others in project controls methodology and tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall project success.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in project controls (or 15+ years without a degree).
- 4 years experience, at a minimum, for Primavera P6.
- Proven expertise with EVMS, schedule risk analysis, and cost forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience managing complex data sets.
- Experience in PMO or large project management environments.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DOE/NRC Q-Clearance (or active clearance preferred).
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead through influence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, or related discipline.
- PMI or AACE certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP, AACE-PSP, AACE-EVP).
- Experience supporting large CAPEX or utility projects.
- Background in nuclear, energy, or high-tech industrial projects.
