Project Controls Analyst - Columbia, MD
Recently named by Newsweek as one of the Best American Mid-Sized Workplaces in 2026, Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a Project Controls Analyst specializing in U.S. government contracts to work at our North American headquarters in Columbia, Maryland.
About the role
This position is responsible for providing project support to RSNA’s government business. This person will report to the Manager of Government Accounting and will advise senior leadership and provide guidance to program personnel.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Earned Value Management process in accordance with government regulations
- Utilize DELTEK Open Plan and Cobra to generate monthly EVM reports detailing project performance metrics
- Collaborate with schedulers, CAMs, PMs, and the chief engineer to produce EVM data and variance analyses promptly
- Lead the development, release, and implementation of the EVM System Manual and related processes
- Obtain FAA EVM certification for the company’s EVM system
- Deliver accurate and on-schedule EVM reports to TSA, FAA, and Aerospace Prime contractors
- Ensure compliance with EVMS FAA AMS requirements and DoD FAR guidance
- Collaborate with project team members to gather and organize records supporting customer billings
- Develop project summaries for the program manager and chief engineer for key programs
- Support the preparation of executive-level briefings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) processes and government reporting requirements
- Proficiency with DELTEK Open Plan and Cobra software
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- In-depth knowledge of EVMS FAA AMS requirements and DoD FAR guidelines
- Expertise in preparing FAR-compliant invoices for various contract types
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience obtaining FAA EVM certification
- Prior experience working with TSA, FAA, or Aerospace Prime contractors
- Background in project management or a related technical field
Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident able to obtain an interim or final suitability determination, subject to completion and favorable adjudication of the required background investigation.
Pay
The total compensation for this position is $112K-$150K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
