As a trusted financial resource for construction projects, you will act as the primary liaison between operations and corporate finance. This highly visible, fast-paced position handles financial reporting, compliance, and processing for projects ranging from $1 million to $100 million in contract value.
Responsibilities
- Compile owner requisitions and resolve internal audit findings
- Process subcontractor requisitions and accounts payable
- Monitor consumable materials purchasing and equipment inventory
- Manage field payroll
- Assist with project setup, closeout, and owner contract review and readiness
- Track and report small business participation
- Support monthly project financial forecasts
- Analyze and interpret monthly cost reports and key performance indicators
- Monitor and forecast project cash flow
- Reconcile change orders
- Contribute to contract administration, procurement, schedule, and financial reporting activities
- Maintain thorough knowledge of company contracts and involved parties
- Facilitate project meetings to coordinate work activity
- Lead, train, and develop project team members
- Prepare and submit monthly job status reports outlining project priorities and issues
- Support project close-out, including turnover of manuals, warranties, and final payment documents
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with owners, engineering, and design firms
- Establish project deadlines and monitor progress
- Provide leadership to foster an inclusive and diverse environment
- Anticipate stakeholder needs, desires, and goals to exceed expectations
- Drive process improvement and efficiency through innovation
- Promote a culture of safety in the workplace
Requirements
- Preferred degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or other business-related fields—or equivalent relevant work experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Careful attention to detail and reliability of output
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, Textura, Coupa, or Google platforms
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Work Environment
The role involves a mix of office and field work:
- Office: Primarily desk-based with prolonged periods of focused work, collaboration, and detailed computer tasks. Moderate noise and light levels.
- Field: Occasional visits to active construction sites with exposure to outdoor weather, louder noise, and moving equipment. Safety protocols must be followed at all times.
Physical requirements include:
- Regular lifting and moving of objects up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds
- Effective communication and sharp visual acuity for reviewing complex documents
- Ability to travel to various locations, including construction sites, using different modes of transportation

Pay
Base salary range: $67,000–$80,000. Compensation may vary based on education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
