Overview

ITAC is seeking to fill a Project Controls & Compliance Analyst position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both project controls and compliance functions. Depending on project needs and the successful candidate's experience, the role may ultimately focus more heavily on either Project Controls or Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Support project cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting activities
  • Evaluate existing project control procedures and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce scheduling and cost-related issues
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules for engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and validation activities as required
  • Generate forecasts, variance analyses, cash flow reports, and other documentation used to track project performance
  • Perform schedule reviews and critical path analysis to identify potential project risks and impacts
  • Aid with resource planning and staffing forecasts in collaboration with project leadership
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) implementation and earned value analysis
  • Prepare and maintain project controls dashboards, reports, and performance metrics
  • Review change orders and assess schedule and cost impacts
  • Compile and distribute project reports and reporting packages
  • Support compliance activities associated with government contracts and project requirements
  • Maintain compliance records, documentation, and required reporting
  • Assist with audits, assessments, compliance reviews, and corrective action tracking
  • Monitor compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements
  • Cook up with project teams to ensure compliance obligations are met and properly documented
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of compliance processes and procedures
  • Aid leadership with compliance reporting and documentation management
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality in all work activities
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Meet project commitments, deadlines, and budget expectations
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, and enhance project performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting project controls, cost control, compliance, project administration, or related functions
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work across functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal, government, or government-contractor projects
  • Prior experience in compliance, regulatory, or contract administration roles
  • Experience with project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of project scheduling concepts and project controls methodologies
  • SAP experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, or regulatory reporting requirements
  • Experience in engineering, construction, industrial, energy, infrastructure, or similar project environments
