About the Role

Under general direction, this position supports the development, tracking, and analysis of project schedules with varying contract type, size, and complexity. The role involves working in a team environment with technical, financial, and management staff to plan, baseline, status, and control contract activity and deliverables. The position requires interaction with the program management team to establish and maintain cost/schedule baseline integration and update Estimates to Completion (ETC).

Responsibilities include implementing reporting procedures, reviewing project status, valuing work in progress, and tracking project deliverables. Additional duties may involve driving the development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and related dictionaries, contributing to Earned Value or equivalent cost tracking methodologies, performing variance analysis, and conducting Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs).

Responsibilities

  • Follow industry best practices for developing and maintaining logically linked, horizontally and vertically integrated network schedules (Integrated Master Schedules) using critical path methodology (CPM) and performing schedule health assessments.
  • Identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts, recognize implications of changes, and assist in developing work-around plans when changes are required.
  • Prepare, develop, and coordinate integrated master schedules to meet program objectives.
  • Develop and maintain master program schedules for assigned contracts.
  • Coordinate with the program team to assign resources to activities, establish a baseline, update remaining work (ETC) on a recurring basis, and perform annual comprehensive ETC.
  • Provide task leaders and program managers with clear, timely, and accurate information and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Utilize Monte Carlo-type simulation to conduct Schedule Risk Assessments on IMS per contractual requirements.
  • Use the company Earned Value Management (EVM) system to analyze schedule consistency and integration with budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure the baseline Integrated Master Schedule aligns with the company standard structure for cost tool import, analysis, and WBS alignment with charge structure.
  • Prepare written analysis of Integrated Program Management Report (IPMDAR) IMS CDRL narratives with detailed explanations and thorough analysis.
  • Maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Requirements

  • Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline, along with six or more years of related experience. Equivalent experience may substitute for education.
  • General knowledge of accounting principles, planning and tracking procedures, and manufacturing systems in a research or production environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to interpret and explain programmatic issues.
  • Proficiency with electronic software, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and project management tools.
  • Ability to work extended hours if needed and occasional travel may be required.

Pay

Salary range: $73,700 - $128,780
