About the role

We're seeking an HR Project Consultant to work closely with leaders and teams across Human Resources. The role involves managing complex projects, guiding from strategy to execution, and driving meaningful organizational change.

Responsibilities

  • Manage medium- to large-scale projects requiring cross-functional coordination and stakeholder engagement
  • Partner with sponsors and project owners to define objectives, scope, priorities, success measures, and outcomes
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, dependencies, and barriers to project success
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, governance frameworks, communication strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, timelines, milestones, and RAID logs
  • Coordinate implementation, testing, training, change management, and adoption activities
  • Drive accountability and momentum while helping teams navigate ambiguity and competing priorities
  • Maintain and improve HR portfolio reporting and tracking processes
  • Oversee and support the governance and maintenance of HR’s Products and Services Catalog
  • Provide ad hoc consultation to HR teams and project owners on project planning, governance, implementation, and execution strategies
  • Develop and deliver project management tools, resources, training, and best practices to build project management capability and consistency across the HR function
  • Facilitate HR project owner forums and roundtables to promote knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and adoption of project management disciplines

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of professional experience in Human Resources or related field
  • 3+ years leading projects, consulting engagements, or strategic initiatives in Human Resources (preferred)
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to influence without formal authority
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience operating in highly matrixed environments

Pay

$81,200 - $121,800

Schedule

This role is located at our Arden Hills, MN Corporate Headquarters. The employee will be in-office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.
