What You'll Do
- Procuring all purchased and intercompany parts required in the project during project development.
- Quoting and sourcing productive materials for the project to meet cost, quality and timing targets according to the product development process.
- Manage the RFI/RFQ process.
- Ensure competitive analysis of suppliers.
- Lead supplier selection according organizational instructions.
- Ensure contracts are executed in accordance to organizational instructions.
- Conduct negotiations about quantities, prices, delivery dates and conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Four year Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Management, or Engineering.
- OR
- A Two Year Associate Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Five years of purchasing experience with mid to high volume manufacturing. Electro-mechanical products preferred.
- Knowledge of economic analysis methods (NPV, IRR, ROI).
- Familiarity with logistics and material requirements planning.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Superior SAP user skills.
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or TS 16949 quality systems requirements.
- PC skills, MS Office
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
- Participative work style, ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature.
- Ability to establish credibility and be decisive but also be able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities.
- Satisfactory verbal and written communication skills.
- Results oriented with a high level of initiative.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Basic German language skills are preferred but not required.
- Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is preferred but not required.
