Project Buyer

What You'll Do

• Procuring all purchased and intercompany parts required in the project during project development.
• Quoting and sourcing productive materials for the project to meet cost, quality and timing targets according to the product development process.
• Manage the RFI/RFQ process.
• Ensure competitive analysis of suppliers.
• Lead supplier selection according organizational instructions.
• Ensure contracts are executed in accordance to organizational instructions.
• Conduct negotiations about quantities, prices, delivery dates and conditions.

Required Qualifications

• A Four year Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Management, or Engineering.
• OR
• A Two Year Associate Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Five years of purchasing experience with mid to high volume manufacturing. Electro-mechanical products preferred.
• Knowledge of economic analysis methods (NPV, IRR, ROI).
• Familiarity with logistics and material requirements planning.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Superior SAP user skills.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or TS 16949 quality systems requirements.
• PC skills, MS Office
• Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
• Participative work style, ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature.
• Ability to establish credibility and be decisive but also be able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities.
• Satisfactory verbal and written communication skills.
• Results oriented with a high level of initiative.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Basic German language skills are preferred but not required.
• Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is preferred but not required.
