About us

We are a fast-growing general contractor based in Anaheim, CA, managing construction projects ranging from $100k to $200M. We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to manage the financial lifecycle of our diverse projects, ensuring accurate job costing, billing, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of project accounting, including job cost tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and submit AIA billing and invoicing.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate and timely tracking of project costs and revenues.
  • Utilize Sage 300/Timberline, Vista Viewpoint, and other accounting software to maintain accurate financial records and generate financial reports.
  • Review and approve all project-related invoices and ensure they are coded and allocated correctly.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances.
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare financial reports to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and other stakeholders to improve financial processes and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in job cost, construction accounting, project accounting, T&M (Time & Material), and time and material billing.
  • Experience with Sage 300/Timberline, Vista Viewpoint, job costing, AIA billing, and AIA invoicing.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
