Project Assistant
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests as they arrive and create a positive first impression throughout the event.
- Manage attendee check-in by verifying entry details and using scanning tools accurately.
- Respond to guest inquiries with clear, helpful information about event activities, timing, and layout.
- Guide visitors to appropriate areas of the venue, including chef stations and featured event spaces.
- Help maintain orderly guest flow at entry points and other high-traffic areas during the event.
- Support the event team with on-site coordination tasks to keep operations organized and on schedule.
- Address routine attendee concerns professionally and escalate issues to event leadership when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in event support, customer service, hospitality, or a similar public-facing role is preferred.
- Ability to scan tickets or registration materials accurately and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and attentive approach to guest interaction.
- Comfortable standing and moving throughout the venue for the duration of the event.
- Able to stay organized and composed in a busy, fast-moving setting.
- Reliable availability to work a one-night contract assignment in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
- Able to follow event procedures and work effectively as part of an on-site team.
