Project Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Input data into excel spreadsheets and reformat existing excel spreadsheets.
- Affiliate with managing trade compliance records.
- Affiliate with agency filings with the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
- Edit and proofread legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries.
- Draft legal correspondence.
- Organize case files, manage correspondence, track regulatory deadlines, and prepare exhibit binders for client meetings and hearings.
- Maintain case pleadings folders.
- Affiliate with the preparation and processing of certified mailings.
- Affiliate with the preparation of closing documents.
- Create and maintain electronic and paper client files and indexes for legal business professionals in office.
- Perform routine filing and retrieve files as needed.

- Perform general office and administrative duties, including collating and assembling documents, accepting and delivering interoffice correspondence, photocopying, scanning, and faxing.
- Work cooperatively with other departments within the firm.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree completed or nearing completion.
- Minimum 1 year of office experience.
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when evaluating legal matters.
- Ability to proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, typographical, or spelling errors.
- Interpersonal and professional skills necessary to communicate in person, by e-mail and telephone and follow instruction effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work additional or irregular hours as needed to meet business and client service needs.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computer, photocopiers, scanners, etc.
