Qualifications

  • Registered Architect with a minimum of 3 years of Architectural experience that includes public safety and essential facilities project leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in architecture, or equivalent degree
  • Project Architect who can work autonomously on document production and take the lead as needed with clients, design team members, and is willing to wear multiple hats and participate in the business, hold multiple projects accountable to milestones and production timelines
  • Proven track record managing complex public-sector projects, preferably including fire stations, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders, and meeting multiple project milestones and production timelines
  • Technical expertise:
    • Deep understanding of AZ Fire Code, NFPA standards, International Fire Code (IFC), International Building Code (IBC)
    • Awareness of IGCC/IECC and resilience codes related to climate, energy, and environmental regulations
    • Familiarity with AZ Department of Forestry & Fire Management permitting
    • Experience with Revit in a professional environment is required
    • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, rendering programs, and MS Office
