The CSS group in Herndon, VA provides innovative, cutting-edge security solutions for the United States Government. Employees deliver a multidisciplinary approach to generate solutions for challenging technical problems in national security, including spacecraft payload and system development, unique system development, ground control and operational software, embedded software, and cyber capabilities. Key customers include the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities

  • Administer daily operational aspects of one or more ongoing projects; participate in project plan development, design, and schedule.
  • Integrate and analyze project plans to ensure milestones and delivery requirements are met; ensure all key parties are advised.
  • Analyze data and situations, developing solutions with project managers, line managers, and clients; influence and guide actions.
  • Develop appropriate electronic and hard copy reports and records.
  • Represent the organization as a prime contact with outside organizations; make internal and external presentations as required.
  • Provide direction to support and less experienced professional staff.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Observe all laws, regulations, and applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, and three or more years of progressive professional project administration experience. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for education.
  • Complete understanding of project administration principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.
  • Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to new process development.
  • Customer-focused with strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to document, report, and present findings accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interfacing with other professionals.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment and extended hours as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Pay

Salary range: $62,510 - $105,628
