Progressive Care Unit RN (Full-Time) (Days)

About the role

Provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for individuals with acute pulmonary conditions, including lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, ventilator management, and medication drips. Works closely with physicians, advanced practice nurses, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely treatment in a 9-bed unit with private rooms.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within established standards.
• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; participate in professional development.
• Develop and communicate individualized care plans collaboratively with the care team and patients.
• Evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural values.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• No prior experience required; two years of experience preferred.
• Ability to work safely, demonstrate critical thinking, and collaborate effectively.

Schedule

Role involves working in a safety-sensitive environment with day-time, 12-hour shifts and weekend/holiday rotations.
