Progressive Care Unit - Clinical Nurse

About the role

This position provides direct patient care in a specialized tele‑unit that serves a mix of medical specialties. The work environment is a 40‑bed Progressive Care Unit caring for cardiac and pulmonary patients, equipped for cardiac monitoring and respiratory care. The role emphasizes patient‑ and family‑centered care, education on illness management, and participation in activities that promote safety, quality, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established nursing standards.
• Develop and document individualized care plans.
• Communicate effectively across multidisciplinary care teams.
• Evaluate patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Provide patient and family education on illness management.
• Participate in safety‑sensitive practices and promote a culture of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience.
