Progressive Care Nurse

Role: Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit Weekend Work Program. Responsibilities Provide high-acuity, evidence-based care to adult step-down patients, including cardiac and complex medical cases.Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.Implement care interventions such as titrating IV drips and coordinating interdisciplinary care teams.Educate patients and families to promote understanding and engagement in care.Ensure safe patient transitions and uphold quality, safety, and infection control standards.Mentor peers, precept new staff, and contribute to a collaborative, compassionate hospital culture. Qualifications & Skills Current RN licensure.Experience in high-acuity or step-down care preferred.Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical skills.Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.Commitment to safety, quality, and patient education.
