About the role
The Programs Manager provides operational leadership for assigned Guitars Over Guns programs, ensuring high-quality implementation, staff performance, and positive student outcomes across multiple school and community sites. Reporting to the Miami Programs Director, this role directly supervises Site Coordinators, partners with school and community stakeholders, allocates resources, resolves operational challenges, and exercises independent judgment in managing day-to-day program operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the successful implementation, quality, and continuous improvement of assigned school and community-based programs while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and strategic priorities.
- Exercise independent judgment to establish operational priorities, allocate staffing and resources, resolve operational challenges, and adapt programming to meet site-specific needs.
- Evaluate program performance through site observations, data analysis, and outcome metrics, implementing process improvements and recommending operational enhancements that strengthen program quality, efficiency, and participant experience.
- Directly supervise, coach, and develop Site Coordinators.
- Assign work, establish performance expectations, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Recommend hiring, promotion, disciplinary, and other employment actions.
- Foster accountability, professional growth, and a collaborative team culture.
- Serve as GOGO's primary representative with school administrators, In-School Coordinators, and community partners.
- Build collaborative relationships that support successful program implementation and student success.
- Observe programs, evaluate instructional quality, and coach Site Coordinators and mentors.
- Monitor program outcomes and implement improvement strategies.
- Cook up performances, field trips, and special events with schools, families, and community partners.
- Maintain accurate program records and prepare reports using organizational systems.
- Monitor participation, outcomes, budgets, and resource utilization to support organizational planning and compliance.
- Provide operational leadership for assigned summer programs, including staff supervision, logistics, and daily program implementation.

- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, manage multiple priorities, and solve complex operational challenges.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Able to work independently while exercising sound judgment and decision-making.
- Strong technology skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software.
