Annual salary: $63,000.00

Schedule
Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Hours may include on-call, extended, and/or weekend shifts.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain required car insurance.
- Master’s degree and one year of professional experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience, OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional-level experience for each year of the required education.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise the Child Welfare program of the Office of Background Investigations in their assigned duties.
- Manage staff to maintain accurate and timely determinations of criminal history records, using critical thinking skills and an understanding of policy and law.
- Foster a positive working environment and maintain excellent customer service.
- Work closely with Child Welfare Services staff to maintain a system of quality improvement.
- Supervise staff completion of background checks for Child Welfare staff placement.
- Oversee the creation of policy, training, and improvement of processes.
- Draft policies, procedures, and publications.
- Review proposed legislation for impacts on policy and procedures.
- May act as office legislative liaison.
Qualifications
Preference may be given to applicants who possess education and/or experience in Child Welfare, Child Care Services, or Criminal Justice.
