Overview of Position
The Programming Operations Specialist will report to the Vice President of Programming Operations. He/She will execute a variety of administrative and event-planning tasks that support the effectiveness of day-to-day programming.
- Manage administrative duties for our meals program, transportation, and school bus service.
- Help with ordering and setting up food for monthly staff meetings, Friday choir practices, and other events throughout the year.
- Manage our meal program by weekly kitchen checks, training new staff on meal protocols, quarterly food audits, and approving monthly meal counts and invoices.
- Schedule buses for programming and trips, which also includes approving transportation invoices.
- Manage the transportation and catering budget.
- Order and help set up food for all staff meetings, training sessions, and program events, such as etiquette classes and choir practices.
- Aid in event planning, such as the all-staff meetings, Spring Benefits, Boxes of Love, Christmas in the City, reading playoffs, SEL Olympic games, Six Flags, etc.
- Aid in organizing and executing the backpack and Christmas gift drives.
- Aid the clothing consultant with organizing and conducting clothes fittings.
- Aid in enrichment partnerships like Green Bronx, training, ordering supplies and materials.
- Be available to be a substitute team leader, coach, or SAES at sites when the need arises.

- Sharp eye and attention to detail.
- Is an approved van driver and can drive truck/van rentals.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills with an orientation toward results, action, impact, and influence.
- Ability to work both as a team player and independently.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and multi-task well.
- Demonstrated classroom management proficiency using Fred Jones Tools for Teaching and SEL trauma informed approach.

- Effective time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Education and Experience
- B.A. or B.S. in related fields and equivalent experience.
- Experience in accounting and project management with a focus on budgeting, vendor contracts, and vendor relationships.
- Extensive knowledge of Google Suite, Excel, Questica, PowerPoint.
Physical Demands
- The employee is regularly required to speak and listen.
- This role may require you to move equipment from room to room and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly travels to other organizational sites for meetings and training.
