Programming Assistant (Therapeutic Activities)
About the role
This position involves creating, scheduling, and implementing therapeutic programs for residents with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) in a supportive and engaging environment.
Responsibilities
- Form meaningful relationships with residents and families
- Implement and coordinate the balanced daily therapeutic programming schedule for 7 days per week
- Support with coordination of entertainment including guest lecturers, musicians, and fitness instructors
- Participate in scheduled outings, ensuring safety of residents on transportation and off-site
- Aid in support group and educational sessions for families and staff
- Develop monthly newsletters, take photos, and update social media
Requirements
- Experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations, preferred
- Standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents (with and without assistance)
- An ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers
- Punctuality & reliability – Our residents rely on us to assist them with their daily living activities

Pay
Rates start at $20 - $20.50 per hour based on work experience.
