We are looking for a Programmer Analyst II to support software development and business system needs within a manufacturing environment in New Castle, Pennsylvania.
About the role
This role combines application development, systems analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver dependable technical solutions that improve daily operations. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with Microsoft development tools, database technologies, and ERP-related processes, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain business applications using .NET technologies such as C# or Visual Basic within the Visual Studio environment.
- Partner with users and internal teams to evaluate operational needs, translate business processes into technical solutions, and recommend improvements that support manufacturing workflows.
- Create and support database-driven applications using SQL Server, including writing queries, procedures, and related data management components.
- Troubleshoot software issues, analyze root causes, and deliver timely resolutions that maintain application performance and reliability.
- Contribute to web-based development efforts and assist with related scripting or automation tasks where needed, including PowerShell-based support activities.
- Work with ERP and business system platforms, preferably Infor CloudSuite Industrial or SyteLine, to enhance system functionality and align applications with business requirements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, program updates, and support materials to promote consistency and long-term system usability.
- Provide after-hours support when required and handle sensitive business information with a high level of discretion and professionalism.
Requirements
- Detail-oriented experience developing applications with .NET using C# or Visual Basic in Visual Studio.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL Server and hands-on ability to support database-related development.
- Familiarity with manufacturing business processes and experience supporting ERP or business systems, ideally Infor CloudSuite Industrial or SyteLine.
- Understanding of web development concepts and technologies, with ASP.NET and JavaScript experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with SharePoint is an advantage.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability in a technical environment.
- Effective communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage priorities independently.
- Ability to participate in an on-call support rotation, maintain strict confidentiality, and travel reliably with a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
