Programmatic and Financial Analyst

About the role

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) delivers high‑impact technical solutions to complex national security issues, supporting the Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division (JOID) in providing analytical and programmatic capabilities to DoD, Federal Civilian, and international customers. SPA’s team of military, technical, and operations research analysts evaluates military problems, devises innovative approaches, collects data, develops software tools, and performs assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions. An immediate need exists for a Programmatic and Financial Analyst to provide onsite support in Arlington, VA, working with DARPA on large‑scale research and development efforts.

Responsibilities

• Support DARPA in managing the full lifecycle of large‑scale research and development efforts.
• Provide financial and administrative support to Program Managers.
• Perform financial tracking and analysis, budget preparation and maintenance assistance.
• Assist with solicitation preparation and management.
• Track deliverables and milestones, maintain schedules and calendars.
• Provide meeting support, prepare correspondence, and maintain files.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in a government research environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self‑starter capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail on assignments of a varied, diverse, and sometimes difficult nature.
• Ability to manage multiple and concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Able to report to Arlington, VA up to full‑time based upon client needs.

Skills

• Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Desired: Active TS/SCI clearance.

Pay

Salary range: USD $128,000.00/Yr. – USD $168,000.00/Yr. (commensurate with experience and qualifications). Variable compensation opportunities are available.
