About the role
The Program Technician (PT) III in the Record Support Section (RSS) monitors, researches, and analyzes problems associated with the electronic transmission of arrest records. This role provides consultation to submitting law enforcement agencies regarding transmission and reporting issues.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, research, and analyze problems with electronic transmissions of arrest records.
- Consult with law enforcement agencies to resolve transmission and reporting problems.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of criminal and applicant fingerprint processes, California criminal justice system, bureau policies, and related systems (JADE, ACHS, Batch Processor, APP Processor, Global Transaction Controller, Display Queue).
- Prepare and maintain monthly utilization reports (MUR) for the Program.
- Assist in developing training manuals and provide one-on-one training for new or existing staff.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of the criminal and applicant fingerprint processes.
- Familiarity with the California criminal justice system.
- Understanding of bureau policies and procedures.
- Proficiency with systems such as Justice Automated Data Exchange (JADE), Automated Criminal History System (ACHS), Batch Processor, APP Processor, Global Transaction Controller (GTC), and Display Queue (DQ).
Pay
$4,329.00 - $5,425.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification.

This position is located in the California Justice Information Services Division, Bureau of Criminal Information & Analysis, Record Management Branch, Criminal Record Expedite & Support Program, Record Support Section.
