About the Role

As a Program Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer at Raytheon, you will serve as the primary interface between our supplier base and internal stakeholders for critical, technically advanced DoD programs in the Naval Air Missile SSBU. This onsite role in Tucson, AZ focuses on ensuring supplier compliance with quality, cost, and schedule requirements while driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure flow-down of product requirements to suppliers through purchase orders, quality notes, and supplier statements of work.
  • Interpret program requirements to confirm supplier understanding and compliance with quality standards.
  • Engage strategically and tactically to enhance quality, cost, and schedule performance, providing differentiating value to program teams and customers.
  • Drive continuous improvement of supplier products and processes by identifying risks and systemic performance issues, applying tools such as Root Cause Corrective Actions, Six Sigma, and Lean Methodologies.
  • Apply APQP processes to improve supplier manufacturing performance.
  • Travel up to 25% to conduct supplier assessments, audits, and reviews.
  • Represent quality in review boards for supplier design changes, process modifications, qualification tests, and procedure reviews.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality engineering, manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of eight years’ experience in quality engineering or a related field.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, or MDA Assurance Provisions.
  • Experience interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Six Sigma, Lean, or ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE).
  • Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers and customers.
  • Experience in DoD product and process oversight, including requirements, build, integration, test, and delivery.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100, AS9145 (APQP & PPAP), and FAI Standard AS9102.
  • Experience with aerospace or commercial preventative tools such as SPC, FMEA, QFD, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing, Control Plans, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • General knowledge of industry technical standards (e.g., ANSI, CMMI, ASTM).
  • Strong technical and communication skills with demonstrated presence, influence, and self-management.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $107,500 – $204,500 USD. The final offer considers factors such as role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
