Program Supervisor - Mental Health
About the role
Join our Wraparound team as our new mental health Program Supervisor!
Responsibilities
- Provide regular supervision to direct reports, including performance evaluation, coaching, and implementation of performance improvement strategies as needed.
- Partner with Program Managers and Directors to assign and manage cases based on program objectives and operational demand.
- Absorb a limited caseload, as appropriate, to support program operations, with primary responsibility focused on supervisory, administrative, and oversight functions.
- Review and support the referral process for psychiatric consultations to ensure clinical appropriateness, regulatory compliance, and continuity of care.
- Assess and determine appropriate clinical responses to crisis situations, including selecting the appropriate mode of intervention (e.g. person or by phone), in accordance with the program’s requirements and clinical judgment.
- Ensure staff are appropriately trained and maintain adherence to program fidelity requirements to support ongoing compliance with contractual expectations.
- Coordinate with the Clinical Training Manager to ensure staff receive appropriate training on procedures and documentation, maintaining alignment with program and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Quality Assurance and program leadership to support the alignment of quality assurance and compliance activities with the Department of Mental Health (DMH) standards, policies, and procedures.
- Actively engage in required meetings and forums, including utilization reviews, quality assurance discussions, case conferences, and leadership meetings, to inform program operations and ensure compliance.
- Closely monitor and manage staff caseloads to support effective service delivery, working in partnership with the Intake Department to address program needs and resource allocation.
- Lead day-to-day staff management activities, including onboarding, supervision, coaching, and ongoing performance evaluation of direct reports, and support hiring, discipline, and performance management decisions in partnership with Program Managers, leadership, and HR.
- Contribute to program performance by supporting staff productivity and effective resource management.
- Close clinic as required.
- Step in to provide transportation to clients during shortages in coverage, pick up or transport supplies/donations/equipment in the community, and/or meet clients and partners in the community.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor to meet programmatic, departmental and agency needs, including evolving dynamics and priorities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or related field required.
- Active ACSW/AMFT/APCC in with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences in good standing and near completion of hours (2,500 minimum at time of applying).
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, especially Microsoft teams).
- Trained in Evidence Based Practices preferred.
- Knowledge of public mental health system (LACDMH preferred).

Pay
SALARY AND BENEFITS: $79,000 - $82,381 Exempt DOE
Schedule
Monday-Friday, plus on-call crisis response as scheduled
Work from home, office/community weekly
Telehealth and in-person appointments
Travel out to meet with clients and community partners as needed

How you make an impact
As the Program Supervisor, you will provide day-to-day leadership and coordination of operational activities for the Wraparound team, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements. You will collaborate with the Wraparound Program Manager and other leaders to support operations, implementation of plans, recruitment and hiring processes, and ensure contractual obligations and performance standards are consistently met. You will directly supervise your assigned team in Wraparound, contributing to a culture of collaboration, ownership, compliance, and quality service delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
