About the role

Contra Costa Health Services is seeking to fill three (3) Mental Health Program Supervisor positions. These roles include supervisory oversight at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) for the Youth Stabilization Unit, management of daily operations at Behavioral Health clinics and peer respite facilities, and coordination of crisis response and outreach services through the Community Response Division.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise clinical and non-clinical staff, including mental health therapists, nurses, behavioral health specialists, and peer support specialists.
  • Coordinate and monitor daily program operations to ensure timely assessments, interventions, and safe discharge planning.
  • Provide clinical case consultations and oversee treatment planning and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Medi-Cal, licensing, and accreditation requirements, including documentation, billing, and quality assurance.
  • Foster a youth and family-centered approach to care emphasizing safety, dignity, and resilience.
  • Facilitate coordination and communication with referring agencies, inpatient facilities, mobile crisis teams, and community-based programs to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support staff development through coaching, performance evaluations, and training on best practices in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
  • Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and compliance with labor agreements.
  • Support county-wide suicide prevention efforts.
  • Facilitate linkage between community-based organizations and mental health care.
  • Support mandated systems transformation between Mental Health Services Act and Behavioral Health Services Act.
  • Conduct program and fiscal reviews.

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicles Operator's License.
  • One of the following professional licenses: LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Psychologist issued by the State of California.
  • A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in psychology, social work, counseling, or a closely related field.
  • Two (2) years of full-time post-licensure experience, or its equivalent, providing direct treatment services to mental health clients.
