About the role
The Program Supervisor II oversees the daily operations of CareLink programs, ensuring the implementation of agency mission, values, and goals. They are responsible for supervising staff, implementing rehabilitative programming, and ensuring the health and welfare of up to 12 service participants.
Responsibilities
- Plans the daily operation of the program.
- Reports all relevant problems and changes to the appropriate CareLink administrative personnel.
- Affords assistance in the planning, coordination, and implementation of social and recreational activities for service participants.
- Coordinates and develops individual service plans to improve the social and self-care skills of service participants.
- Maintains and monitors participant medications.
- Ensures coverage for each shift.
- Participates in the daily milieu of the program.
- Assists staff in their duties when needed.
- Transports individuals as necessary/appropriate.
- Supervises all staff, students, and volunteers.
- Provides leadership, example, instructions, suggestions, and discipline as appropriate.
- Maintains individual service records on a continual basis.
- Prepares staff assignments.
- Trains employees to improve their work quality and job knowledge.
- Assesses, teaches, and supervises staff on an on-going basis regarding their work on individual service plans.
- Prepares and administers staff introductory and annual performance evaluations accurately, fairly, and on time.
- Counsels staff in employee relations.
- Attends and participates in regular supervision.
- Responds appropriately to emergency situations.
- Participates in staff meetings and training programs.
- Attends and participates in agency events.
- Adheres to agency/site policies and procedures including HIPAA requirements.
- Cooperates and coordinates with Regional Director on all operational issues.
- Projects a positive attitude and image to staff, participants, family members, and outside contacts.
- Uses appropriate communication channels.
- Completes assignments independently and within specified time frames.
- Contributes to the growth and development of services.
- Shows initiative and demonstrates good judgement.
- Fulfills other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required Education: Master’s degree or above from an accredited college or university and 1 year work experience working directly with persons with ID and/or autism, OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years work experience working directly with persons with ID and/or autism.
- Work experience: Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience required.
- Required Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: CPR certification preferred; Valid Driver’s License.
- Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of methods of psychiatric rehabilitation required. Ability to work as a leader and provide training and supervision to staff required. Motivation, interest, and ability to work empathetically with people who have disabilities required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Strong collaborating skills, and an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and be flexible with regard to workload and assignments. Ability to exercise judgment. Ability to make sound judgements regarding the health and welfare of service participants required. Willingness and ability to drive agency vehicle. Willingness and ability to handle on-call duties required.
