Program Supervisor (GMH)

About the Role

The Program Supervisor is an entry-level management position responsible for the day-to-day operation of the program. This role involves supervising multidisciplinary teams, coordinating service needs, and collaborating with other service providers and agencies. The Program Supervisor may also provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed staff and supervise student-interns.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of the assigned team, ensuring all clients receive services as indicated on their treatment plan.
• Align the team around common objectives to uphold contract and organizational policies.
• Ensure staff documentation, assessments, and paperwork meet compliance, productivity, and timeliness standards.
• Review and prepare staff performance evaluations and facilitate disciplinary measures as needed.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with State/County agency representatives and community partners.
• Participate in all required meetings.
• Provide consistent supervision, including support, feedback, clinical consultation, and clear expectations of job duties and professional growth.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

• Licensed Psychologist, LMFT, or LCSW.
• Minimum of one-year management or supervisory experience over staff providing direct behavioral health services to children.
• Ability to supervise Pre-licensed Clinicians and Student Interns/trainees.
• Valid CA driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
• Completion of CPR/First Aid certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment.

Qualifications

Tiered qualifications based on experience:

• TIER I: LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist. No previous supervisory experience and not yet qualified to provide clinical supervision.
• TIER II: 1 year of supervisory experience. Increased supervisory duties and reduced clinical duties. Still not qualified to provide clinical supervision.
• TIER III: 2 years of programmatic supervisory experience. Meets criteria to provide clinical supervision but may not be actively doing so. (Has practiced psychotherapy for the last 2 years out of 5 OR has provided direct supervision to associates who have practiced psychotherapy for the last 2 years out of 5).
• TIER IV: 2 years of programmatic supervisory experience. Meets criteria to provide clinical supervision and is actively doing so in addition to programmatic supervision duties.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and electronic health records systems.
• Strong communication, team building, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of the juvenile dependency system and child development principles.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, behavioral interventions, and therapeutic approaches for high-risk youth.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remain organized, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to drive a motor vehicle without restrictions, often in heavy traffic and for long distances (one hour or more) to transport clients to appointments as needed.
• Sufficient senses of vision, hearing, and smell to operate a motor vehicle safely and assess environmental risks.
• Occasionally required to lift and carry 10-20 pounds.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, climb stairs (1 or more flights), and walk during family visits.
• Regularly required to sit and use a computer in office settings.

Pay

$85,000 - $92,000 per year.
