Program Supervisor

About the role

Mentor Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is ideal for someone with caregiving or direct support experience who is ready to step into a leadership position while still staying connected to the people they serve.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team that provides daily care and support to individuals with disabilities
• Supervise and support a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
• Aid in hiring, training, and scheduling team members
• Ensure high-quality care and program operations
• Provide hands-on support when needed, including meal prep, medication administration, and personal care when needed
• Encourage independence and help individuals participate in community activities
• Model leadership, compassion, and teamwork for your staff

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, or 5 years of caregiving experience in lieu of education
• Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and insurance
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• A compassionate heart and a natural drive to lead by example

Qualifications

• Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Caregiver, or Team Lead

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Knowledge of disability-related best practices and policies
