Program Supervisor

About the Role

The Program Supervisor provides on-site oversight and supervision of staff, programming, and operations at a satellite location of the Learning Community Center of South Omaha (LCCSO). This role focuses on building relationships with school families and staff, supporting recruitment, and ensuring alignment with the mission, policies, and procedures of the main center. The Program Supervisor works primarily at one elementary school but also serves other schools in the area.

Responsibilities

• Supervise participant arrival and dismissal, track supplies, and manage equipment.
• Support effective cleaning and maintenance of spaces by coordinating with OPS and OneWorld.
• Create a warm and welcoming environment for staff, participants, and visitors.
• Ensure the continuous safety of parents, children, visitors, and staff in collaboration with the Director.
• Greet and assist all visitors, including class facilitators, and serve as the on-site point person for families and staff.
• Hire, orient, train, and oversee the day-to-day effectiveness of child learning and program assistant staff.
• Connect with other departments to ensure fair distribution of work among staff.
• Oversee transportation to the school satellite and provide coverage or assistance in child learning and reception as needed.
• Drive the company minibus for transportation when required.
• Maintain an updated work plan for the child learning team aligned with strategic goals and objectives.
• Establish fair distribution of work duties among child learning staff.
• Manage staffing levels to avoid over- or under-staffing during the program year and summer.
• Request supplies for child learning rooms and track expenses.
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment in child learning rooms, the outside play area, and the center building, with a focus on building social-emotional skills.

Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to support the organization’s evolving needs.
