Program Supervisor

Full-time, on-site position in West Springfield, MA and surrounding towns.

About the role

The Program Supervisor works within the Agency's team model, establishing open communication, support, and accountability among co-workers. Our team operates in a supportive residential environment for developmentally disabled adults living in a community-based group home.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all full or part-time staff to ensure appropriate service delivery.
• Supports clients' activities of daily living, administers medications as needed, and advocates for individuals within various community settings.
• Provides opportunities to optimize clients' independence.
• Develops professional and supportive relationships with clients and provides informal counseling and guidance with a person-centered focus.
• Interacts with clients to assess needs, provide information, discuss problems, set limits, and encourage growth and development while monitoring safety.
• Understands, follows, and implements all client ISPs and documents progress.
• Provides thorough orientation for all new staff.

Requirements

• Minimum two years' experience with the population as well as supervisory experience.
• Current MAP certification, CPR, and First Aid.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in the use of computers.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Reliable automobile and valid driver's license.
• Flexibility to work one weekend day, including on-call shifts.
