Program Specialist - STAR Program - Teens - Outreach
The Tuckahoe Family YMCA is looking for an energetic, positive role model for our STAR (Strengthening Teens Academically and Recreationally) outreach after school program at Quioccasin Middle School.
Schedule
- Available Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday afternoons from 3–5:30 pm
- October through April
- 12 hours per week
About the role
This part-time position will assist the lead program specialist with facilitating STEM projects, recreational activities, and enrichment sessions designed for students. Responsibilities include building strong relationships with students, maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment, and supervising youth during program hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist with facilitating STEM projects, recreational activities, and enrichment sessions

- Help with setup, cleanup, and materials organization
- Track attendance and support general program flow
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- At least six months of programmatic experience
- Experience working with multilingual learners and middle school youth is preferred
Pay
- $13–$15 per hour
