STAR Program - Lead Program Specialist - Teens - Outreach

About the role

The Tuckahoe Family YMCA is looking for an energetic, positive role model for our STAR (Strengthening Teens Academically and Recreationally) outreach after school program at Quioccasin Middle School.

Schedule

• Available Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday afternoons from 3–5:30 pm
• October through April
• Part-time, 12 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Support the lead program specialist in facilitating activities
• Supervise students in grades 6–8
• Maintain a welcoming environment for multilingual learners

Requirements

• At least six months’ experience working with youth, preferably middle school
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Strong relationship-building, mentoring, communication, and leadership skills
• Basic comfort with technology and STEM activities
• Commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and service to diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with multilingual learners

Pay

• $17–$19 per hour
