About the Role

This position is responsible for supporting Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in the El Dorado Charter SELPA to improve outcomes for students with disabilities. The Program Specialist will support LEAs—including charter schools and local, regional, and statewide partners—in providing quality services and programs to students with special needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance, training, and support to LEAs in implementing special education support and services for students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment, both in person and through web-based experiences.
  • Support LEAs in person, requiring residence in the Los Angeles County Region.
  • Travel regularly on a flexible schedule, including locally, within service areas, and throughout the state (up to 5 times per week). Reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in an educational setting in programs that may include special education or general education.
  • Valid Special Education Credential, Pupil Personnel Services Credential, California Administrative Services Credential, or a Master’s Degree in education or related field with a valid California credential.
  • Reside and maintain residence in the Los Angeles County Region.
  • Ability and means to travel frequently (up to 5 times per week) within the service area and statewide.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Administrative experience.

Pay

Pay Range: $119,303 - $145,012 Annually.

Schedule

  • 8 hours/day, 5 days/week.
  • 210 days/year, 12 months/year.
  • Full-time, remote position with frequent travel (up to 5 times per week).
