About the role

Analyzes and prepares program status reports for review at all levels. Responsible for internal controls and Division System Analysis of Operation (SAO) reports. Plans and/or accomplishes special projects. Performs a variety of duties related to special projects involving program issues that contain complicating elements.

Responsibilities

Maintains diaries, collects data, and prepares recurring reports for VR&E internal controls and other SAO reports, including group orientation appointments, national STAR reviews, local QA, receipt of contractor reports, and division overtime funds.
Communicates internally and externally with the full range of agency stakeholders.
Evaluates, processes, or makes recommendations for effective organizational changes.
Performs organizational analysis for changes in the functional areas of division.
Serves as Division Timekeeper; ensures that all leave is appropriately entered into the VATAS system, including tracking FMLA and certifying timecards to schedule.

Requirements

As a condition of employment, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period or 2-year trial period during which fitness and continued employment will be evaluated based on performance, conduct, agency needs, and organizational goals.

GS-07

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or higher, demonstrating a practical knowledge of the principles, techniques, and methodologies of adult education, including analytical and evaluative methods, pertinent laws and regulations, and analysis of issues or work processes.
Education Substitution: One full year of graduate-level education or a bachelor’s degree with Superior Academic Achievement (3.0 GPA or higher).
Combining Education & Experience: Experience and education may be combined to meet the full requirement.

GS-09

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level or higher, demonstrating an advanced knowledge of the principles, techniques, and methodologies of adult education, including analytical and evaluative techniques, and oral/written communication with stakeholders.
Education Substitution: A master’s or equivalent graduate degree, two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education, or possession of an LL.B. or J.D. degree if related.
Combining Education & Experience: Experience and education may be combined to meet the full requirement.

U.S. Citizenship required.

Schedule

Full time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm. Compressed/flexible schedules and routine telework are not authorized. Situational (ad hoc) telework may be approved on a case-by-case basis with supervisory approval.
