About the role

Manage the day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community including organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment. You will also manage program staff members including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation, and make recommendations or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations. Oversee the implementation of program planning, monitor delivery of services and supports, and ensure services are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served. Must be available on-call to support staff, find coverage, or cover shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of one to four community programs
  • Organize and implement direct supports and person-centered planning
  • Oversee health care, advocacy, and stakeholder relations
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and program safety
  • Handle recruiting, retention, staffing, and training
  • Manage financial aspects and physical environment maintenance
  • Conduct performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation for program staff
  • Make decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective actions, and terminations
  • Monitor delivery of services and ensure they are engaging and relevant
  • Provide on-call support to staff, find coverage, or cover shifts as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus two to three years of related experience in direct IDD/Autism/Human Services (direct experience means consistent, face-to-face support)
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Prior Program Specialist, Coordinator, or Director experience preferred
  • Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification per state requirements or applicable regulations
  • Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills to manage relationships
  • Reliable, responsible attitude with a compassionate approach

Pay

$55,000 annually

Schedule

40 hours per week (on-call required)
